Aberystwyth Recycling Centre is licensed to collect, store and transport a wide range of materials in order to help build a more sustainable future for our planet: reducing landfill and reusing materials wherever possible.
However, it is important to note that we provide facilities for 'recycling' rather than 'waste disposal'.
For this reason there are restrictions on the materials that we can take:
Some materials need to be sorted by our operatives by hand prior to being processed. For reasons of health and hygene, we would be therefore be grateful if you would rinse cans, bottles and containers before depositing them.

We take an array of metal waste, from cans and tins to scrap metal. It is important that food cans are clean and preferably separated into aluminium and steel. Food cans are generally steel, drinks cans generally aluminium. However, a sure way to know which is which is to use a magnet: steel is attracted, aluminium is not. |
